However, I’ve found much cooler looking foldable bikes now, Change Bike. They make folding mountain, road and hybrid bikes with top parts like Fox forks.

Check them out at their site changebike.co.uk

Hi Alee, I picked up this bike from the shop today (discounted due to it being last year’s model now) and I’m very pleased so far. Thanks for writing this review which urged me to try it out. You’re right that it’s pretty much the same length as my old folding bike, so it fits in my flat OK unfolded. Thanks again! Jo

Hi Johanna. I’ve given the bike back now, so am unable to measure this one for you. You’ll find that the length of bikes doesn’t change by a lot, even with smaller wheels. That is because our bodies need to perch in between both of the wheels when we ride a bike! Once folded, that’s a different story… Alee

However the bike does look pretty big – do you have the unfolded dimensions, particularly the full length? Thanks in advance – Jo

Hi Freddie. Beyond getting a custom folding bike from Bike Friday, definitely. And now that the 2016 Eclipse range uses 26″ wheels in a lot more instances, the overall reach has been increased a bit and a new longer stem is said to be available in the near future. I can’t wait to ride one! Alee

Is this the best folding bike you have found – all things considered? I would like performance above anything else. Thanks!

No bag charge on any airline. How cool is that!

In that case, you would not fold it in two. It’d easily fit the max dimensions without a fold.

Cheers Paul
