Go wild for The Wild Robot
Peacock might not be as big as other streaming services, but it has a strong library of movies. And being the streaming home of Universal Pictures means it has one of the best lineups of blockbuster movies of any service, because Universal makes a lot of hits. Recent additions to the list include Oscar-nominated animated crowd-pleaser The Wild Robot, horror hit Speak No Evil, and Best Picture contender Conclave.
While Peacock's library includes a lot of movies, it can be a bit tough to sort through the service to find the best movies you can watch right now. We've focused on movies released somewhat recently, as well as some Peacock exclusives that you can't stream anywhere else.

The Wild Robot
DreamWorks AnimationThis animated adventure was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 2025 Academy Awards. It's about a service robot called Roz that crash-lands on Earth and ends up becoming the mother of an orphaned gosling named Brightbill. Lupita Nyong'o voices Roz, Kit Connor voices Brightbill, and Pedro Pascal voices Fink, a mischievous fox who helps Roz. It's a lovely animated film about family, found and otherwise, that your whole family will enjoy. -Liam Mathews [Trailer]
Jason Momoa, Fast X
Universal PicturesThe Fast & Furious movies have been a pop culture mainstay for two decades, but all good things must come to an end. And Fast X is the beginning of the end for this franchise, starting us down the home stretch that will presumably end with Vin Diesel riding off into the sunset to meet up with Paul Walker in car heaven at the end of the next movie. We're not there yet, though, and we're grateful for that, because Jason Momoa's man-child of a villain is the most fun baddie this franchise has ever had. -Phil Owen [Trailer]
Alexander Skarsgard, The Northman
The Northman, director Robert Eggers' delightfully violent film set in Viking society, is totally radical. Modern-day Viking Alexander Skarsgård stars as a prince out to avenge the death of his father, and he does so with both incredible patience and brutality. Eggers is one of the best filmmakers working today, and The Northman is another fine addition to his collection, alongside influential folk horror classic The Witch, black-and-white head-trip The Lighthouse, and sumptuous vampire film Nosferatu. -Tim Surette [Trailer]
James McAvoy, Speak No Evil
Universal PicturesA scarily jacked James McAvoy stars in this terrifying Blumhouse horror-thriller that's a great entry in the "people getting caught in an increasingly dangerous situation because they don't want to seem rude" genre (Get Out, The Invitation, The Gift, etc.). Mackenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy are a married couple on the rocks who go to visit some new friends (McAvoy and Aisling Franciosi) at their isolated home on the west coast of England, and their hosts turn out to be weird. Like, really weird. Like, won't let them leave weird. Speak No Evil comes from Blumhouse, the studio that's the absolute best at this kind of thing, and is a remake of a Danish-Dutch film of the same name. -Liam Mathews [Trailer]
Ralph Fiennes, Conclave
Focus FeaturesRalph Fiennes stars in this elevated potboiler that turns a papal conclave into a palace intrigue thriller. Fiennes plays a cardinal overseeing the process to select the next Pope after the sitting Pope dies. While carrying out his duties, he uncovers a secret that could tear the Church apart. Conclave is an engaging, grown-up drama from Academy Award-winning director Edward Berger (Best International Film, All Quiet on the Western Front). -Liam Mathews [Trailer]
Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell, Twisters
Universal PicturesThis semi-sequel to the 1995 blockbuster Twister has twice the action, twice the danger, and twice the Twisters. Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell star as storm chasers in Oklahoma trying to get as close to the tornados as possible, because "if you feel it, chase it!" It's probably the best movie catchphrase of 2024. The cast of rising stars also includes Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Katy O'Brian, and David Corenswet. If you're looking for a fun movie, give it a whirl. -Liam Mathews [Trailer]
Izaac Wang, Didi
Focus FeaturesThis coming-of-age dramedy from first-time director Sean Wang captures what it was like to be a teenager in the 2000s with uncanny accuracy. Izaac Wang stars as 13-year-old Chris, who lives in a Bay Area suburb with his mother, Taiwanese immigrant Chungsing (Joan Chen, in her best American role in years). He skateboards, makes goofy YouTube videos with his friends, fights with his sister, makes fumbling attempts to flirt with girls, and struggles with the weight of family expectations. It's a sweet slice-of-life movie like Sundance used to make (and this did, in fact, premiere at the Sundance Film Festival). -Liam Mathews[Trailer]
Despicable Me 4
Universal PicturesWhen all else fails, there's always the Minions. The little yellow guys with a net worth of $5 billion are back for their latest adventure that your kids will watch 5 billion times. To be fair, the Minions aren't the main characters here — that would be Gru (Steve Carell), the reformed supervillain-turned-family man, who has to save his family from his old nemesis, a French bad guy named Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell). But you and I both know it's all about the Minions. It's always about the Minions. It's only about the Minions. All hail our Minion overlords. -Liam Mathews [Trailer]
Carey Mulligan, Promising Young Woman
Focus FeaturesDirector and writer Emerald Fennell won an Oscar for Best Screenplay for Promising Young Woman, a dark comedy starring Carey Mulligan as a woman who exacts revenge on predatory men following a life-altering experience when she was a medical student. Mulligan is fantastic, and the supporting cast — which includes Sam Richardson, Bo Burnham, Molly Shannon, and many others — shines, but it's Fennell's ability to slide from comedy to thriller that made this a favorite of 2020. It's a daring film that takes big risks, most of which land. -Tim Surette

Nathalie Emmanuel, The Killer
Christine Tamalet/Universal Studios/PeacockGame of Thrones veteran Nathalie Emmanuel gets her action star on in this surprisingly good straight-to-streaming thriller. The special thing about the film is that it's directed by John Woo, one of the greatest action filmmakers of all time, and is in fact a remake of his 1989 Hong Kong film, which starred Chow Yun-fat in the title role. Emmanuel plays a professional assassin in Paris who gets caught up in a job that turns personal. Omar Sy and Sam Worthington co-star. -Liam Mathews [Trailer]
Bob Odenkirk, Nobody
It's impossible for Bob Odenkirk to be in anything bad, because one of Hollywood's best-known rules is, "If it has Bob Odenkirk in it, it can't suck." The Better Call Saul star carries this action-thriller about a seemingly regular guy (Odenkirk) whose past as an assassin for hire is unearthed as he battles a crime lord and his countless goons. You aren't used to seeing Odenkirk destroy baddies in hyper-violent fashion, but after watching his performance in Nobody, you'll at least believe he's capable of it. -Tim Surette [Trailer]
Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson, Marry Me
Universal PicturesThere's no help for people who don't see the joy in Marry Me. It's a classic Jennifer Lopez rom-com, with J. Lo essentially playing herself — uh, sorry, playing Kat Valdez, a famous pop star who gets stood up by her fiancé (played by Maluma) on the night of their livestreamed hybrid concert/wedding (normal!) and picks a random regular Brooklyn dad (Owen Wilson) out of the audience to marry instead. And wouldn't you know it, they fall in love for real. But they live in two different worlds! Listen, I didn't say it broke the mold, I just said I had a good time watching it. -Allison Picurro [Trailer]
Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, Men in Black
Sony PicturesIf you rewatch Men in Black on Peacock, you'll say "Man in Black, I wish they still made movies like Men in Black." Original blockbusters with tight runtimes (only 98 minutes long!) and comedy that's actually funny (I might be biased; I was 12 when Men in Black II and its "he's a Ballchinian" gag came out). But the truth is movies like Men in Black were even rare back then; the only other movie to do this special effects comedy thing as well is Ghostbusters. Anyway, everything about MIB holds up except for Will Smith's rapping. -Liam Mathews [Trailer]
