Due to popular demand from the Bikepacking Vietnam adventure doco, I’ve put together my ultralight packing list. Our route in the north of Vietnam had us climbing about 30000m over two weeks, so as a result we were forced to go as minimal as possible. We also wanted to cover our long daily distances with the least amount of effort!

Luckily for us, none of those things are a necessity in Vietnam. In the next few days, keep an eye out for my 9.5kg packing list from my most recent tour along the Munda Biddi Trail. It will cover all of those things!
i bikepack in Vietnam over 5 Years and you say not important how long you bikepack in Vietnam
That’s the great thing about bicycle touring in Vietnam — you can “credit-card tour” very affordable. This last summer I paid 200,000-250,000 VND per night at mini-hotels — that’s $8.90-$11.10! That was for air conditioner, private bathroom w/hot water.
